About Ana Bueno

Academic rigour and close guidance

I am an English teacher at EOI Xauen, the Official Language School of Jaén. I obtained my permanent teaching post in 2010 and have been preparing candidates for the EOI competitive examination since 2012 and for Secondary Education since 2022.

Alongside my work at EOI Xauen, I teach on two official master’s programmes at the University of Jaén: the University Master’s Degree in Teacher Training for Secondary Education, Bachillerato, Vocational Training and Language Teaching, where I have taught since 2011, and the Online Master in English Studies (OMIES), which I joined in 2023.

I hold a degree in English Philology and received the First National Award for Excellence in University Academic Performance, presented by Spain’s Minister of Education.

My approach combines high academic standards with continuous, individual support. The preparation is demanding, and I provide close guidance and personalised feedback throughout the process. I also place great importance on empathy and on creating a positive working environment in which classes are engaging and candidates can enjoy learning.

The immediate goal is, of course, to perform successfully in the competitive examination. However, the preparation is also designed to deepen candidates’ knowledge, strengthen their teaching practice and help them develop skills that remain useful beyond the examination itself.
